Webinar - "Richard C." Update - Retroactive SNAP Awards and More
This 60 minute webinar will explain the provisions of the Richard C v. Proud class action lawsuit, affecting over 200,000 low income households across New York State. We will focus primarily on the retroactive SNAP awards that are being issued to households the week of November 18, 2013 – who gets them, how much they are, and more. We will also review the status of the SNAP employment sanction process in New York State. This training is intended primarily for advocates, community groups and lawyers working with temporary assistance and SNAP recipients.

*Empire Justice Center has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. This program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 1.0 CLE credit hours, of which 1.0 can be applied towards the Professional Practice requirement. This course is both transitional and non-transitional and is appropriate for both new and experienced attorneys. However, due to CLE rules regarding non-traditional formats, new attorneys with two years or less experience are not eligible for credit.
